Ann Mitchell and Karen Mitchell, AnKara Designs-
Award-winning jewelry designers, authors, and teachers Ann Mitchell and
Karen Mitchell have been creating mixed-media polymer jewelry and
accessories for over 25 years. The sisters launched their company,
AnKara Designs, in January of 1991, and showcase an always evolving and
expanding collection of pieces they market through juried art and craft
shows. Their delicate, feminine designs have a vintage flair with global
inspiration. Their work has appeared on television, in films, on stage, and
they have written extensively for magazines, books, Web sites, and
manufacturers. They introduced some of their polymer clay innovation and
expertise in their first book, Liquid Polymer Clay: Fabulous New
Techniques for Making Jewelry and Home Accents. Their second book,
Bead Jewelry 101, features basic bead jewelry making methods with an
emphasis on design. Karen and Ann enjoy combining their love for jewelry
construction with their unique approach to polymer.
